In our childhood, when ever we experienced a great sadness, hurt, or fright, we would often find comfort from a favorite “blankie” or stuffed animal. This blankie that we clutched tightly in our arms helped to ease our fears and hurts till all would be right with our world once again.
The Chemey Family would like to thank the Community of Middlesex Borough, the Middlesex Public Schools, every private and religious organization, every business, and every individual who has help to form a warm comforting “blankie” for our family to hold on to during Megan’s future surgery and rehabilitation The overwhelming outpouring of caring and concern from everyone for our daughter and sister Megan will never be forgotten.
I thought Megan's journey could be a learning experience for all of us. I will keep everyone informed on her progress with this blogger. Check here for updates on her testing and how she is doing.

I fell in love with Megan a few years ago when we took her, her borther and her sister to see a Disney on Ice show at the Meadowlands. The stairs were steep and scarey - especially for Megan. So I would pick her up and carry her up and down.
The first time I picked her up I said, "Wow, you really are a big strong girl!"
"I'm not heavy," Megan said. "My doctor says I only weigh two bags of rice!"
"Well, little girl," I replied, "You must be hiding another bag of rice in your pocket!"
At which time she said very seriously, "I don't think so," and proceeded to check her pockets!!!
That was it - I was hooked on Megan. And I know the rest of the Chemey family well enough to know that if any of us were going through what they are facing, they would be right there by our side doing whatever they could to make our lives easier. They are wonderful, wonderful people - they truly are. And they deserve all of the prays and support we can give them.
God Bless the Chemeys!
